Here's some pics from the US leg of the tour. More current pics below.
I'm sitting at the airport in sydney Australia. The past few days have been great. After a show in New Zealand and another in Brisbane, we arrived in Sydney to the tune of three days off. It's really a beautiful place, although very hot and humid. Travelling up the coast brought us to some amazing beaches on the first day. The second day was time for a bbq at Bondi beach. I even got in the water. The walk out on the rocks was amazing. The third day was a show day, but beforehand, Kat, Darius, Pigeon John and myself made it out on the harbor to see the most beautiful views of Sydney, and have a beer or two at Watson Bay.
The show went exeptionally well- sold out even. The Aussies LOVE Lyrics Born here. The stage crew was great, but the rig they got me was weird. It was Ampeg stuff- two 8x10 cabinets. Sexy lookin' rig but not EDEN.
The label/agency that brought us out here owns the cute boutique/swanky modern hotel that we stayed in- The Establishment. Folding doors by the bathtub that open up to the bedroom- real nice! Bars and top-notch sushi are also located in this reclaimed old building- everything fancy, tidy, modern, and priced to match. I think I'm gonna move in. :-)
Off to Melbourne!
PS: Stuff I left out....
Just finished a 3+ week US tour before OZ; Hung with my brothers in Chicago; Got my bass stolen in NY (Yes, the one with the lights in it); tried to make it better by purchasing Alligator Boots. it helped for a minute. Kat from the Crown City Rockers is playing keys with us; My bass world has expanded- using my laptop and a 16-pad trigger for samples/efx/808 sounds, as well as a few pedals.
